Answering calls day and night, 365 days a year.
Tell me what's happening and I'll ask what I need to, no call centre and no hold music.
Agreed before I set off, so there's nothing to negotiate once I'm on site.
You see exactly what was wrong and that it's sorted, then I tidy up and go.
A blocked outside drain usually shows itself as water backing up, draining slower than it used to, or a gully or manhole overflowing when you run a tap or flush a toilet. Locally the causes are fairly consistent: older clay pipes with joints that have let tree roots in, years of fat and wet wipes narrowing the pipe from the inside, and pitch-fibre drains laid in the 1950s to 70s that deform or collapse under the weight of the ground above them as they age. Heavy rain and a high winter water table make all of these worse, which is why a drain that's coped all year can suddenly overflow after a wet week.
I start by working out roughly where the blockage sits, then clear it with jetting or rodding, whichever suits the pipe and the blockage. Jetting deals with fat, roots and compacted debris that rods tend to just push past. Once it's clear I check the flow properly rather than assuming it's fixed, and I'll tell you plainly if what caused it is likely to come back, rather than just clearing it and leaving.

A blocked drain usually backs up completely, overflows from a gully or manhole, or gurgles when you run water nearby. Slow draining that still eventually clears is often the early stage of the same problem.
Done properly, no. I check the condition of the run first and adjust the pressure and technique for older or more fragile pipework rather than using the same approach on every job.
That usually points to a root ingress point or a low spot in the pipe collecting debris. A camera check shows exactly where and why, so we can deal with the actual cause rather than clearing the same spot repeatedly.
Yes, sinks, toilets and internal branch drains as well as the outside runs and manholes.
Leave your number and a quick note about the problem. I'll ring you straight back, usually within minutes during the day.
